This crucial first phase focuses on preparing all surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion and a smooth, professional finish for your Orange County interior painting project. As part of our Sanctuary Sequence, we have already discussed color choices and paint types with you in our Sanctuary Studio. This preparation includes:

• Room Protection: We carefully protect all furniture, flooring, and other belongings with drop cloths, plastic sheeting, and painter's tape to prevent paint splatters and damage.

• Wall Cleaning: We clean all wall surfaces to remove dust, dirt, grease, cobwebs, and any other contaminants that could interfere with paint adhesion. We use appropriate cleaning solutions and techniques depending on the wall surface (e.g., washing with a mild detergent solution for washable surfaces, dusting for non-washable surfaces).

• Repairing Imperfections: We repair any imperfections in the walls, such as cracks, holes, dents, or nail pops. This includes filling holes with spackle or drywall compound, sanding smooth, and priming the repaired areas.

• Priming (If Necessary): We apply primer to bare drywall, patched areas, or surfaces with existing stains or strong colors. Primer creates a uniform surface for the paint to adhere to and ensures consistent color coverage.
